What began in 2017 as a gathering of 140 people has grown into the largest annual convening for LGBTQ+ outdoor enthusiasts, professionals, and allies. The LGBTQ Outdoor Summit creates space for community, connection, and change — bringing together voices across the outdoor industry, education, conservation, and adventure communities.

Each year, the Summit offers:

• Workshops & Panels led by Queer leaders shaping the future of outdoor access and inclusion.

• Keynotes & Storytelling that highlight resilience, joy, and the diverse experiences of LGBTQ+ people in outdoor spaces.

• Networking & Collaboration with nonprofits, brands, and grassroots leaders driving systemic change in the industry.

• Community-Building that affirms identity and fosters belonging both on the trail and in the workplace.

Since its inception, the Summit has:

• Convened thousands of LGBTQ+ professionals and allies from across North America.

• Partnered with leading outdoor brands and organizations to advance equity in the outdoors.

• Served as a launching point for new collaborations, initiatives, and ERGs (Employee Resource Groups) in the outdoor industry.

The Summit is more than an event — it’s a movement to ensure the outdoors is a place of joy, safety, and belonging for all Queer people.
