Centering Equity Across Teams and Industries

During my time at Quality Bicycle Products, one of the largest U.S. bike parts distributors and a certified B Corp, I served as a DEI and community engagement leader focused on embedding equity into a historically white, male-dominated industry. Working closely with the HR and sustainability teams, I launched internal ERG infrastructure, supported factory-floor inclusion efforts, and helped position QBP as a national thought leader in DEI for the cycling industry.

Prior to this role and then throughout, I continued this work as an independent consultant, supporting both corporate and nonprofit clients across outdoor recreation, climate advocacy, and philanthropy. My consulting practice focused on building inclusive systems from the inside out—whether advising on equitable hiring, launching ERGs, or designing frameworks for community-informed storytelling.

Highlights from QBP:

• Co-developed and launched the company’s first Employee Resource Groups, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC affinity spaces

• Collaborated with factory and warehouse teams across the U.S. and Taiwan to build culturally relevant, accessible equity training

• Worked with sustainability and CSR teams to align QBP’s B Corp metrics with justice-centered initiatives

• Represented QBP at industry events to share learnings on workplace inclusion in manufacturing and distribution environments

Highlights from Consulting Practice:

• Supported companies like Merrell, Trust for Public Land, and Conservation Legacy with culture strategy, equity assessments, and internal training

• Facilitated cross-departmental retreats and community-based grantmaking programs for small organizations

• Helped several brands in the outdoor sector launch their first DEI action plans and ERG structures
